The variety looks and tastes very similar to a Jalapeno, but slightly hotter with a hint of smokiness. As the chillies grow and mature, the fruit will change from green to red. This variety performs well in a large pot on a patio or when grown in a greenhouse and is great for pickling or cooking. A very versatile pepper making it a must have for your garden. This spicy variety has a Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) rating of Rating 7,000-10,000.
